Description To increase the effectiveness of technology training, ACTL has developed a unique mentoring model that helps project teams adopt new technologies and methods more quickly. Because, we view mentoring as a natural extension of the training process, it is a vital component of our client-customized technology jumpstart service package. In a mentoring program, a dedicated ACTL mentor accompanies the project team from project inception to transition. He assures that the new methods and technical skills acquired during training are efficiently adopted and practiced. Because our mentors have coached companies adopting object technology for more than ten years in many problem domain areas and projects, they also lend their talent and experience in systems design and architecture, which substantially decreases development time and effort and reduces the risk of making painful errors. Our mentors therefore provide support and knowledge transfer in: Project management and staffing Problem Domain briefings, requirements capture and requirements management Communication with the customer Strategic analysis and architectural design Introduction of tools for supporting the development methodology System implementation and documentation Duration  Over several months, between 1 to 3 days a week.
